Ford says June sales fall 13 percent from May

DETROIT — Ford Motor Co. says its U.S. sales fell 13 percent in June as consumers pulled back on auto purchases.

Ford says sales were up 15 percent over last June, when the industry was in the midst of a deep recession. But the drop from May shows that the industry couldn’t keep up its steady sales increases.

Ford says pickup truck demand was especially strong, with sales of the new Super Duty up 58 percent over last June. Sales of the new Mustang were also brisk.

Ford also began delivering its new Fiesta subcompact to U.S. customers in June.

I have purchase two Lincoln Navigators from Beal Parkway Fort Walton Beach, FL.
I was so impressed by their service that I had my wife go with me and see how good this group was.
She was also impressed. She always loved and owned Cadillac’s and thought their service was very good.
When it came time to put some money into her car, she took a look at the Lincoln MKS and decided
she would buy it , mostly because the local service was so good .
I then received a letter from the dealership that they could not be dealer anymore and I would need to
get service from a local Ford dealer or drive 45 miles to Pensacola or Panama City.
I’m writing this letter because I think this decision to make it hard for the local dealer to keep doing
business with Ford is going to hurt Ford more than any one understands.
After talking with all my neighbors that owned Lincolns ,I was amazed at how upset all of us were.
One neighbor traded his for a Toyota Avalon and another for a BMW. Others are just upset, including
my wife and me that we paid more than the price of a Ford and now have to go there for service.
I am thinking of starting a web site and get a better count of the people who are upset at Ford Motor
Company . I will forward any data I receive from this site to anyone you designate.
