Biomerica gets European OK for dog allergy test
IRVINE, Calif. — Biomerica Inc. said Monday it has received European regulatory approval to sell a home test that consumers can use to determine if they are allergic to dogs.
The biomedical company will sell the product through drug stores and other retailers in the European Union under the Fortel Dog allergy test brand. The test requires a drop of blood and provides results in 15 minutes.
More than 80 million people in Europe suffer from some form of allergies, according to Biomerica. The company already sells a cat allergy test in Europe.
