HILLSBORO, Ore. — Lattice Semiconductor Corp., which makes programmable chips that are used in electronics, on Thursday backed its third-quarter guidance.

The company expects “continued profitability” in the third quarter, which ends Oct. 2.

The company, based in Hillsboro, did not offer more details in a brief press release released Thursday after the market closed.

Shares were unchanged in extended trading after falling 1.1 percent, or 5 cents, to $4.67 during the regular session.
