Cinemark Holdings says public offering of 7.5 million shares prices at $14.55 each

Cinemark prices offering at $14.55 per share

PLANO, Texas — Movie theater operator Cinemark Holdings Inc. said Wednesday its public offering of about 6.4 million shares by Madison Dearborn Capital Partners and 1.1 million shares by Syufy Enterprises LP priced at $14.55 per share.

Cinemark will not receive any proceeds from the sale, which is expected to close on Jan. 25.

Once the offering is complete, Madison Dearborn will own about 39.2 percent of Cinemark’s outstanding common shares, and Syufy will own about a 6.4 percent stake.

Morgan Stanley & Co. is the underwriter of the offering.

Cinemark shares fell 69 cents, or 4.6 percent, to $14.38 in late morning trading. In the last 52 weeks, the stock has traded between $6.75 and $15.47.
