Universal Tech declares special dividend of $1.50

PHOENIX — Universal Technical Institute on Wednesday declared a special dividend of $1.50.

The trade school operator, which said it was generating enough cash flow to return excess liquidity to shareholders, said the dividend is payable July 16 to shareholders of record as of July 6.

Universal Tech shares closed Wednesday trading down 15 cents at $22.58.
