Chrysler’s November sales slide 25 percent on steep declines across major brands

November Auto Sales: Chrysler

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Chrysler Group said Tuesday its U.S. sales fell 25 percent last month from a year earlier on steep declines across major brands.

BY THE NUMBERS: Total sales in the month fell to 63,560 vehicles from 85,260 a year earlier. So far this year, sales are down 38 percent from the same period a year ago.

HOT MODELS: Chrysler Sebring Sedan sales jumped 84 percent to 2,674 units compared with November 2008. Crossover model Dodge Journey sales nearly doubled to 5,434 units. Still, overall sales among Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep brands were much lower than a year ago.
