Salmonella product recall news

The following products are being recalled because they could be contaminated with salmonella, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children and others with weakened immune systems:

Bass Pro Shops is recalling one lot of Uncle Buck’s Beer Batter Mix Lightly-Seasoned. No illness has been reported. The mix was sold online as well as by Bass Pro Shops stores and other retailers around the country. Details: by phone 417-873-5022.

C. H. Guenther & Son Inc. is recalling a select variety of seasoning blends and marinade and gravy mixes that contain pepper. The recalled items were sold under the following brands: Bayou Heat, SHOP ‘n SAVE, Carlita, La Tiara, Shurfine, Western Family, HY-TOP, IGA, Parade, Weis and H-E-B. No illness has been reported.
