Bebe Stores 3Q sales comparison drops 11.2 percent
BRISBANE, Calif. — Clothing retailer Bebe Stores Inc. said Thursday that sales in stores open at least one year fell 11.2 percent in the third quarter.
Total sales for the three months ended April 3 fell 12.5 percent to $106.8 million. That was less than the $109.2 million analysts polled by Thomson Reuters predicted.
Sales at stores open at least a year are a key measure of retailer performance because they measure growth at existing stores rather than from newly opened ones.
Year-to-date, sales in stores open at least a year fell 20.8 percent while total sales fell 20.4 percent to $362.5 million.
