Glance: Kimberly-Clark 2nd-quarter revenue

Kimberly-Clark Corp., the maker of Kleenex tissues and Huggies diapers, said Friday that higher selling prices and cost cuts helped its second-quarter net income rise 24 percent, while revenue rose 3 percent to $4.86 billion.

TOTAL REVENUE: Up 3 percent to $4.86 billion

— Personal care (Kotex, Huggies and others): Up 3 percent to $2.18 billion

— Consumer tissue (Kleenex, Scott, Cottonelle and others): Down 2 percent to $1.53 billion

— Professional (products for office buildings and other facilities): Up 9 percent to $801 million

— Health care (surgical gloves, face masks, etc.): Up 3 percent to $344 million
