Power Integrations: Delaware district court says Fairchild Semi willfully infringed on patents

Court sides with Power Integrations in patent case
SAN JOSE, Calif. — Power Integrations Inc. said Friday that a district court in Delaware determined that Fairchild Semiconductor International Inc. willfully infringed on Power Integration’s patents.
The ruling, which was filed Thursday by the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, is the latest in a long-standing patent dispute case between the two chip makers.
A spokeswoman for Fairchild could not immediately be reached for comment.
Shares of Power Integrations added 52 cents to close at $36.05. Fairchild shares rose 11 cents to $10.28.
