Learning Tree reports $2.07M in quarterly profit, down slightly from last year

Learning Tree net income dips slightly
RESTON, Va. — Learning Tree International Inc.’s net income dipped slightly in the latest quarter even as revenue notched higher.
The company, which organizes training for managers and information technology professionals, had earned $2.07 million, or 15 cents per share. Analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters on average expected net income of 15 cents per share.
Learning Tree’s net income was $2.14 million, or 15 cents per share, a year earlier.
Revenue rose 2 percent to $32.78 million, from $32.28 million.
The company also agreed to pay a one-time dividend of $2.20 per share on Sept. 10 to those who hold its shares Aug. 20.
The company’s fiscal third quarter ended July 2.
