Jack Henry 4Q profit rises with revenue growth

MONETT, Mo. — Jack Henry & Associates Inc., a data-processing equipment and services provider for financial firms, said Tuesday that its fiscal fourth-quarter net income rose 8 percent as support and service revenue jumped.

For the quarter that ended June 30, Jack Henry earned $30 million, or 35 cents per share, meeting expectations of analysts polled by Thomson Reuters. That compared with $27.8 million, or 33 cents per share, in the year-ago quarter.

Revenue rose 19 percent to $227.8 million from $191.9 million in the year-ago quarter. Analysts were expecting $220.8 million. Support and service revenue climbed 28 percent year-over-year to $198.3 million.

For the full year, Jack Henry earned $117.9 million, or $1.38 per share, compared with $103.1 million, or $1.22 per share, in the prior year.

Revenue rose 12 percent to $836.6 million.
