Dassault Falcon to lay off more than 200 in Ark.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Aircraft manufacturer Dassault Falcon says it will lay off 150 employees and 55 contract workers at its Little Rock facility, along with nine workers at its New Jersey headquarters.
Company CEO John Rosanvallon says Dassault was forced to make difficult decisions because of “the challenges of the global economy.”
Rosanvallon says it’s too soon to say whether growth will return to the aviation industry.
Before the layoffs, Dassault Falcon had about 2,000 workers at its plant at Little Rock’s airport, where it finishes the interiors of corporate jets and paints the exteriors.
