Nemacolin applies for Pa. resort gaming license
FARMINGTON, Pa. — Nemacolin Woodland Resort and Spa in southwestern Pennsylvania has applied for a resort gaming license.
The resort about 40 miles south of Pittsburgh plans to house the casino in a former Woodlands World outdoor store on Route 40, if the license is approved.
A hotel near Reading and another near the Poconos are also seeking approval for the state’s final resort license. David LeVan, an Adams County motorcycle dealer, also plans to apply for a license for his proposed Mason-Dixon Resort and Casino about two miles from the Maryland border, south of Gettysburg.
Nemacolin says its casino operation will be managed by Isle of Capri Casinos Inc., of St. Louis, which runs 14 other casinos in the United States.
