Butte’s Copper King Hotel may reopen soon
BUTTE, Mont. — The Copper King Hotel in Butte may be reopening soon.
A group of investors has formed Butte Hospitality Co. and is close to finalizing the plan to buy the hotel, which has been closed since October 2008.
Bryan Scott says he has been hired to run the hotel.
Scott says most of the details of the sale have been worked out but the group of out-of-town investors is trying to secure money from the Missoula-based Montana Community Development Corp.
Scott says the hotel could reopen in 30 days and put 100 people to work if the sale is completed. It also is in the process of buying a bar and liquor license.
