Berkshire managers check out BNSF passenger train
OMAHA, Neb. — Warren Buffett and his top Berkshire Hathaway managers got a special glimpse of the company’s latest and biggest acquisition before the annual meeting.
Buffett and the CEOs of many of Berkshire’s roughly 80 subsidiaries toured a Burlington Northern Santa Fe passenger train Friday after their traditional lunch. BNSF CEO Matt Rose greeted his fellow Berkshire managers at the train.
Berkshire acquired BNSF railroad earlier this year for $26.7 billion.
Dairy Queen CEO John Gainor says the train was beautiful.
One bright orange BNSF locomotive and several passenger cars were parked behind the Qwest Center Arena. Roughly 40,000 people are expected at Saturday’s meeting.
