ILLINOIS (GaeaTimes.com)- Irene Rosenfeld the Kraft Foods CEO has been selected as the second most powerful woman of the world in a ranking made by the coveted Forbes magazine. She is only behind Michelle Obama the first lady of the USA. She is also among the top CEOs among the 10 most powerful women of the world. She has been at the helm at Kraft since the year 2006. Her total experience of working in the industry is over 2 decades. She has been on a high professionally since the much talked about acquisition of UK based chocolate maker Cadbury which took place earlier this year. The acquisition of Cadbury was something she had wanted for a long time.

Kraft CEO Irene Rosenfeld is going to pay a visit to the main factory of Cadbury in UK. This is her first visit to the factory of the British confectionery giant since it was acquired by Kraft. She will meet the management as well as the workers at the plant in Bournville, Birmingham as it has been reported. The takeover caused some commotion in the industry and political circles in Britain and the process took some time to be over. Unite the workers union which initially was against the deal said in its statement that the employees would be happy to see the CEO of the company paying a visit.

Irene Rosenfeld will try to ensure that Cadbury staffs do not suffer because of the deal in long run. It is not certain how much time she will be spending at the UK plant.
