Force10 Networks plans to raise $143.8M in IPO

NEW YORK — Force10 Networks Inc., a company that provides equipment for computer networks, plans to raise $143.8 million in an initial public offering, according to a Tuesday regulatory filing.

The San Jose, Calif., company plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes.

The company will trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “FTEN.”

It is led by Henry Wasik, who was a senior vice president at the French telecommunications equipment maker Alcatel-Lucent SA before joining Force10 as CEO in 2004.
