Medco Health Solutions Inc., the largest pharmacy benefits manager in the U.S., said Thursday its profit rose 14 percent in the second quarter as sales grew 10 percent. Here’s a look at key quarterly metrics.

Adjusted prescriptions: up 6 percent to 238.4 million.

Prescriptions filled at retail pharmacies: up 6.2 percent to 156.7 million.

Prescriptions filled with generic drugs: up 3.3 percent to 70.6 percent.

Prescriptions filled through mail order: up 6.2 percent to 27.5 million.

Mail order prescriptions filled with generic drugs: up 3.5 percent to 61.2 percent.

Specialty pharmacy revenue: up 18 percent to $2.8 billion.
