Chrysler shows new mid-size sedan to its dealers
ORLANDO, Fla. — Chrysler is replacing its poor-selling Sebring with a new mid-size sedan — the Chrysler 200 — which will go on sale later this year.
The company is showing the sedan to 2,400 Chrysler dealers who gathered in Orlando Tuesday to see its new cars and trucks.
It’s the first time Chrysler Group LLC CEO Sergio Marchionne has spoken to a large group of Chrysler dealers since he took over the automaker’s operations last year.
The Sebring has done poorly in the highly competitive mid-size car market. It’s been criticized for its chintzy interiors and lousy handling. Chrysler has reworked the styling and upgraded the interior. It’s also added a new, more fuel-efficient V-6 engine.
Chrysler released a few teaser photos, showing narrower headlights and a new logo on the grille.
