Windstream moves listing to NASDAQ
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Windstream Corp. says it is moving its share listing to the NASDAQ stock market from the New York Stock Exchange.
The phone company based in Little Rock, Ark., announced Wednesday that the move would be effective on Dec. 10. Windstream will still have the WIN ticker symbol.
Windstream Senior Vice President Rob Clancy says the NASDAQ exchange has an “innovative trading platform” and that trading there will save the company money.
Windstream has 3 million access lines across 16 states, but those numbers are to grow in the months ahead when deals close on recent Windstream acquisitions.
