Audi February sales rise 34 percent on strong demand for A4/S4 series cars

HERNDON, Va. — Audi AG’s U.S. sales rose 34 percent in February on strong demand for its A4/S4 series cars, the company said Tuesday.

BY THE NUMBERS: Sales rose to 6,216 in February from 4,653 last year. So far this year, sales rose 36 percent to 12,726 from 9,375.

TOP SELLER: The A4, with 2,660 sold, up nearly 21 percent year-over-year.

HOT MODELS: Audi said its TDI clean diesel car sales are exceeding expectations. For the Audi A3, TDI constituted 56 percent of total A3 sales.
